Xagent vs Relevance AI
Relevance AI is an AI agent platform where your team builds agents on a canvas or by describing them, then tests them with evals. Xagent is an AI agent platform where you describe the task in plain language and it writes the plan, runs it with your tools and hands back the result. Both suit business teams. They start from different places.
Which one fits your team
Both are good tools. The right one depends on how your team likes to work.
Choose Relevance AI when
- You want to build each agent yourselves, on a visual canvas or by describing it to its builder, and test it with an evaluation suite that blocks a change if it fails.
- You want a vendor team to help you get started. Its site describes an embedded deployment team that gets you live and then trains your people.
- Your work runs on a high volume of events from connected apps, and you want a managed queue that paces the tasks.
Choose Xagent when
- You would rather describe the task and have Xagent write the plan than design the agent first.
- You want the price on the page: Pro is US$59 a month, Team is US$299 a month and the plan limits are published.
- You want to watch every tool call and result as it happens, pause a running task and run on Xagent cloud or self-host on the Enterprise plan.

How Relevance AI prices
Its pricing page shows one plan, Enterprise, with no price and a Talk to sales button. It lists unlimited agents, tools, users and projects, evaluations and a dedicated account manager.
Its documentation pricing page describes more: Pro from US$19 a month and Team from US$234 a month on annual billing, with Enterprise on custom terms. It counts usage in actions and vendor credits.
The two pages do not match, so ask Relevance AI which applies to you. Xagent counts actions, triggers and AI credits, so the numbers are not like for like and we do not rank the two on price.
Full plan details are on the Xagent pricing page.

Moving from Relevance AI to Xagent
Move one job first. Keep the rest where it is until you trust the result.
Pick one agent you run today
Write the job in a few sentences. Say what it does, which tools it touches and when it should start.
Connect the tools and paste the job
Connect the same tools with the native connectors, or through an MCP server for anything else. Paste the job as a request and read the plan Xagent writes.
Save it and run both for a while
Save the result as an agent, add the schedule or webhook, and compare its output with the old one before you switch it off.
Xagent and Relevance AI: frequently asked questions
Is Xagent or Relevance AI better for a business team?
It depends on how your team likes to work. Relevance AI suits teams that want to build and test each agent themselves, with evaluation suites and a vendor team alongside. Xagent suits teams that would rather describe the task and let it write the plan, with the price published. You can also run the same job through both before you decide.
How much does Relevance AI cost?
As of October 2026 its pricing page shows one Enterprise plan with Talk to sales and no price. Its documentation describes Pro from US$19 a month and Team from US$234 a month on annual billing. Check with Relevance AI which applies to you. Xagent costs US$59 a month for Pro and US$299 a month for Team.
Is Xagent one of the Relevance AI alternatives for running a team of agents?
Relevance AI connects agents on a canvas and calls the result a workforce. In Xagent every workspace ships with five roles: support, growth, planner, knowledge and studio. The planner breaks a request into steps and hands each step to the right role.
Does Xagent have evals like Relevance AI?
Relevance AI's evaluation suites are a real strength, and they are built into how it publishes changes. Xagent checks work another way. It shows every step, tool call and result while a task runs and keeps run logs and traces. If a test suite that blocks every change is a must for you, put Relevance AI on the shortlist.
Can I use my own model keys?
Yes on both. Every Xagent plan lets you bring your own LLM key. Relevance AI's documentation lists bringing your own LLM on its plans too.
Do I need to write code to use Xagent?
No. Most work starts with a plain-language request. Connecting an internal system through an MCP server is a technical step, so someone on your side may need to set that up once.
