Xagent vs Lindy AI

Lindy AI is an AI teammate that works inside your team's tools. You @mention it in Slack, hand it routines to run on a schedule, and it handles inbox, calendar and meeting work. Xagent is an AI agent platform where you describe a task in plain language and it writes the plan, runs it with your tools and hands back the result. Lindy centres on a teammate in your chat. Xagent centres on the task.

Which one fits your team

Both do real work for busy people. The difference is where you meet them.

Choose Lindy AI when

  • You want an assistant that lives in Slack, your inbox and your meetings. Its pages show it answering @mentions in threads, recording meetings and keeping a shared meeting library.
  • You want each person to take a seat on a low entry price, with a pool of credits and a choice of model for each task.
  • You want a long list of ready skills and routines on a schedule, with notes kept in plain files that you can open and edit.

Choose Xagent when

  • The job is a task with several steps across tools, and you want to read the plan as cards before it runs and watch every tool call and result as it happens.
  • You would rather buy a workspace than a seat for each person. Pro covers 2 users and Team covers 10.
  • You want to save a task as an agent with its role, model, tools and knowledge, run it on a schedule, a webhook or a new Gmail message, or build it into your own product through the API, a chat widget or the SDK.

How Lindy AI prices

Its pricing page shows a Team plan from $29.99 a month for 3,000 credits, and bigger credit tiers above that. Every active user in a workspace is billed, so the price is per person. Extra credits are $10 per 1,000. New accounts start with $50 in credits that last seven days. Enterprise is custom.

On public price Lindy is lower to enter than Xagent. It is $29.99 a month for one person, against US$59 a month for a Pro workspace with two users. Lindy counts credits that are used when it works: 2 to 250 for an everyday ask and up to 2,500 for a big build. Monthly credits do not roll over.

Xagent counts users, actions and triggers, and AI credits. Which costs less depends on how many people use it and how large the jobs are, so we do not rank the two. Add up a real month for both.

Full plan details are on the Xagent pricing page.

Xagent and Lindy AI: frequently asked questions

Is Xagent or Lindy AI better for a small team that lives in Slack?

Lindy describes itself as a Slack-native teammate, so if your day is a conversation with an assistant in threads, it fits that directly. Xagent suits teams who would rather hand over a whole task and read the plan and each tool call. The two answer different habits, so try the same job in both.

How much does Lindy AI cost?

As of October 2026 its pricing page shows a Team plan from $29.99 a month for 3,000 credits, with every active user billed, extra credits at $10 per 1,000 and Enterprise on custom terms. Xagent costs US$59 a month for Pro and US$299 a month for Team.

How do you get started with each?

Lindy gives new accounts $50 in credits that last seven days, with no card. With Xagent, you book a demo and bring a task, and we run it while you watch.

Is Xagent one of the Lindy AI alternatives for scheduled work?

Both run work on a schedule. Lindy calls them routines. In Xagent you save a task as an agent and add a schedule, a webhook or a new Gmail message as the trigger.

Can I choose the model in Xagent like I can in Lindy?

Lindy lets you pick the model for each task. In Xagent an agent keeps its model, every plan lets you bring your own LLM key, and it works with open models and API providers. Don't see the model you need? Talk to us about adding it.

Can I put the agent inside my own product?

Xagent agents can be built into your own products through the API, a chat widget and the SDK. Check Lindy's documentation for what it offers on that.
